AUGUST 2010 - RES TO APPEAL TALLENTIRE WIND FARM DECISION

The planning application for 6 wind turbines at Tallentire Hill was submitted in February 2008, allowing plenty of time for thorough public consultation and for Allerdale Borough Council to thoroughly assess the application. RES has been working closely with the Council to answer questions and submit further information as required, and has now appealed to the Planning Inspectorate to make a decision on the wind farm proposals.

Now that our appeal has been submitted, the Planning Inspectorate will arrange for a public inquiry to take place locally, and this will enable all interested parties to participate in the decision and to have their views represented, including the Council and the communities living around the proposed wind farm. We would expect an inquiry to be scheduled around Autumn time, with a decision hopefully by the end of the year.
