TALLENTIRE WIND FARM

RES was given planning consent to erect six wind turbines on Tallentire Hill, near Cockermouth in Cumbria, in February 2011. We have taken great care to design a project which will maximise the social and environmental benefits on a local and global scale, through the generation of clean, green electricity, while making sure than any potential negative effects are kept to a minimum. The design of the wind farm has been based on information gathered from a number of detailed scientific surveys and site investigations. We have designed a wind farm which will have a low impact on the surrounding communities and environment, high electricity production, and long-term community benefits. The proposed Tallentire Wind Farm is designed to produce sufficient electricity to meet the average annual demand of more than 7,700 households.
